Funded by Australia Global Alumni and DFAT, Mini Career Fair was organized by AAA-C on 3 June 2017 at CJCC from 8:30am – 11:30am with partnership with other alumni associations such as FUSSAC, Japanese Alumni of Cambodia, The British Chevening Alumni Association of Cambodia, Cambodia Korea Alumni Association, Cambodian Australian Network of Students and Global Alumni Network of Cambodia.
16 key employers from the private sector and prominent international organizations were invited to join in providing job opportunities and build network with alumni members and the public. The participated companies/organizations are Deloitte, Smart Axiata, Cambodia Development Research Institute, Sunrise Japan Hospital (Phnom Penh), Prudential (Cambodia) Life Assurance, Springboard4Cambodia, Worldbridge Group of Companies, Khmer Organic Cooperation, The Ath Coffee, Open Development Cambodia, Top Recruitment, AIA (Cambodia) Life insurance, Stanford American School, CMA (Institute of Certified Management Accountants), MGA Asia insurance broker, and IDP Education (Cambodia).
Although the event date was one day before the commune election, there were 325 participants whose 92 were Australian alumni member, 46 were other alumni, and 187 were from public participating in this Mini Career Fair. They eagerly visited the booths one by one to grab the great job and networking opportunities provided by each of the representatives of the companies. All the participating companies/organizations provided their information relating to job opportunities for participants very enthusiastically, and the networking has been fostered among alumni members and companies/organizations. Though participating employers did not receive a lot of number of applications from participants at the fair, they could present the vacancies to and meet potential applicants who are the alumni from various countries. In particular, participants could also exchange the information regarding vacancies at various institutions and took advantage of the information they received.
