The Alumni Conversation and Mentorship Series is an initiative by AAA-C to create the opportunity for AAA-C members to have a conversation and receive mentorship from high-profile and prominent individuals or alumni in Cambodia’s society. The series matches relevant skills and interests of guest mentor and our alumni members. The series is organized in a professional round-table dinner style and is exclusively for around 10 AAA-C members.
AAA-C looks upon prominent individuals with inspiring stories and strong experience in personal and professional life to provide mentorship, share valuable advice to our alumni members during the session, and hopefully expand the mentorship connection beyond the conversation session. This particular session focuses on Professional Endeavour in International Development Work. The next session will be hosting country manager of the World Bank Cambodia, Ms. Inguna Dobraja.
Ms. Inguna Dobraja is from Latvia. Prior to joining the Bank, Inguna served as Director in the Ministry of Welfare in Latvia. From 1998 to 2004, she served as Country Manager for Latvia. Since 2004, Inguna worked as Senior Social Protection Specialist in Europe and Central Asia Human Development Unit; Senior Operations Officer, Africa Sector Unit in Angola; and Advisor to the Nordic-Baltic Executive Director of the World Bank representing Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. In 2012, she was the World Bank Country Manager for Liberia. She holds a Masters in Economics; in 2000, she completed the Executive Development Program at Harvard Business School.
